I hope you enjoyed our podcast last week! We always love to hear your feedback on which guests you’d like to hear from or new topics we can discuss – please reply or find us on social media to share! This week we’re back on the bridge with a new Captain interview from Tim Collins onboard Queen of Sheba.
What is your current role and how long in superyacht industry?
I have been in the yacht industry for 22 years now, and happy to say 10 years as Captain onboard Queen of Sheba
What is your favourite destination and why?
My favourite destination is not technically one place – but the act of exploring a completely new destination. However, if I had to choose somewhere, I have to say that Town of Visby on the island of Gotland in Sweden is amazing and always a pleasure to visit. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is an extremely well kept Medieval walled town. Whether you want history, art, culture, nightlife or restaurants, Visby has it all!
What are your favourite toys to play with onboard?
I have to say with guests, the waterskis and wakeboard are always a hit but I tend to prefer the more relaxing activity of a stand up paddleboard.
If you could only choose one thing that makes a superyacht charter so special, what would it be and why?
Remote overnight anchorages in an archipelago or fjords under the midnight sun.
