FunAir puts the FUN in yachting!

Share

Winter has officially arrived over here and I’m daydreaming about hot and sunny locales! We love following everything the FunAir team does (and I’ve had the absolute pleasure of flying down one of their epic slides!) so we’re thrilled to feature an interview with them this week. Enjoy!

Where did the concept of FunAir come from?

Fun Life – that is what we aspire to at FunAir. We believe in spending time in the outdoors with family and friends laughing, smiling, and having fun. Our product innovations bring people together for lasting memories, a bunch of selfies, and poking fun at each other. Our company was founded and started in the superyacht space building products of the highest quality that integrate seamlessly into these 300 foot boats. Now we bring those same commercial grade materials, manufacturing techniques and quality to new products designed for yachts of all sizes, at home, at camp, and for the resort markets. We are a team of people that work hard, play hard, love the environment, and love each other. Our team invites you to join the fun. Born in Austin, Texas and Innovated in Austin, Texas.

Of the plenty of toys you offer, which ones are you getting the best feedback on and excitement over?

FunAir are known for innovation. We don’t just make Yacht Slides and Climbing Walls, although they are some of our most popular products. We aim to bring something completely new to market each year. Recently our Yacht Golf and Yacht Joust had fantastic feedback and there is nothing else out there like it.

What’s the biggest yacht you have toys on? And the smallest?

We have products on several of the largest yachts in the world and also on some of the largest yachts currently in build.

We also have products like the FunAir Water Mat that can be stored on a rib or small yacht and brought out to extend the Fun wherever you are.

What are some of the best travel destinations you can share with our readers?

John Courtney our Managing Director of Yachting is a big fan of the Bahamas and regularly spends time on a friends yacht out there. The diving is spectacular

John also recently visited the BVI’s and commented, “it is great to see the recovery in process in the British Virgin Islands. The people we met there are so resilient. The diving was fantastic. It seemed as if the stir of the hurricane had reinvigorated the sea life. I had the opportunity to dive several wrecks that week but I have to say my favourite was the RMS Rhone just off the coast of Salt Island. A true wreck lost during a hurricane in 1867. It is amazing to see how she is preserved in the coral. This should be on every diver’s list for the BVIs.”

Sarrah Macey our Marketing Manager loves Tunisia and recently spent some time out there. Its a great superyacht destination because its outside the EU and duty free, but just 90 minutes from Sardinia and the rest of Europe. The culture, food and people are amazing.

Thanks again to the FunAir team!
