Hello everyone and welcome to a whole new year! We’re so excited for a fresh new start in 2018 and have so many things to look forward to with all of you here at OceanScape Yachts!
I don’t know about you, but I always find January can get a tad depressing. Living in southern Ontario, our winters can drag on and make the comedown from the holiday season that much harder.
However, something that has always made it easier is gathering with family and friends during that time and talking about the year ahead – hopes, goals, dreams and of course…travel plans!
How about you? How do you spend your time over the festive period?
Looking ahead to 2018…
As you may have seen in some of our recent emails and social media posts, we have a ton of exciting things coming up this year! Just a little window into what we’ve been working on:
- A new travel webinar coming direct to you from yours truly, along with our Founder, Todd Beechey the first Tuesday of every month starting in February
- A total of 20 yachts available across the world – did you know you could charter an Indonesian phinisi yacht across the South Pacific (I mean, it basically looks like a pirate ship!); or cruise the glittery French Riviera on a number of different yachts? Or easily hop over to the Caribbean on one of our five yachts based there; or really go on an adventure on any one of our yachts across Australia and the South Pacific?
- A new partnership with luxury travel company, Blue Wander…a whole new way to experience your holidays!
- Updated pathways to join our travel club – upgrading your membership has never been easier

- A weekly newsletter from me! This will cover all things related to travel and the luxury world
And as a final 2018 welcome, I wanted to share a few quick tidbits about me and Todd (those two who are always posting!)
Rebecca
- Previously worked as a superyacht journalist, based in London but covering luxury events around the globe
- Love to travel but also love falling back into my own bed at the end of one!
- Cyclist (former semi-pro) who is now adjusting to life back in Canada (with those infamous winters!)
Todd
- A suit by day, Todd is always looking for his next vacation and lives in shorts and baseball caps whenever he can!
- Took his first luxury yacht vacation in 2012, changing the way he looked at travel
- Married with two girls, Todd constantly feels outnumbered!
