After months of working from home and only going on local staycations, it would appear more and more countries are re-opening their borders ahead of the winter months. I don’t think we’re the only ones ready to stick our toes in the sand and unplug for a week! We’ve compiled a few options for your winter vacation ideally situated for a yachting vacation. Each country will have its own guidelines for COVID-19 tests for proof of entry. The U.S. Virgin Islands are a sophisticated alternative to their British neighbours. There’s a little bit of everything dotted within the USVI’s. Ancient ruins vie with cosmopolitan cities for your attention, while the whole is tied together with that pristine, sparkling water. Deep, lush rainforest tumbles down island slopes to turquoise waters; not just on the main islands of St Thomas, St John and St Croix, but across the whole spread of islets, providing more photo opportunities than you could possibly take advantage of on a single trip.

We know this one is on our list a lot! But with such easy access from the U.S. and an abundance of islands to visit, the Bahamas is a really excellent choice for your yacht charter this winter. The water is one reason the Exumas deserve your consideration – blue and crystal clear – and the activities on offer are another. Pigs that swim up to the yacht, jet skiing across open sapphire seas and enjoying fantastic days of fishing (twice when your chef serves up your catch of the day), the Exumas‘ best features are even better when seen from the deck of your own superyacht.
